Susan D anehey

Executive Director

Susan Danehey, new ED at heartland CASA has long enjoyed working with children and families. She started and ran her own preschool in Blue Hill for 14 years, later she worked with Head Start and Early Head Start, she then spent 11 years managing the Healthy Beginning Program, a nurse visitation parenting program in Hastings.  Danehey sees the position at CASA as a natural progression in her efforts to work with children at risk.  She is passionate about the health and safety of children and looks forward to working with other community entities of the same mind set. Danehey believes strongly that when we build a strong and safe child we build a stronger and safer future for all of us.  Danehey has two sons, one daughter, and a daughter in law. Beyond her love of children she also has a passion for photography, writing  and art. She also runs The Studio in Blue Hill, and writes for the Hastings Tribune .

Holly Boeselager

Volunteer Coordinator

Holly Boeselager has been with CASA since 2017. Holly was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ until she was 15 when she moved to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. There she graduated from her high school, Los Osos cum su lada. She then attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she met her husband Ben. Holly graduated with a Bachelor's in History. She and her husband have lived in Grand Island for 4 years and have a wonderful 4 year old daughter and an ornery 11 year old yorkie. Holly had previously worked for the State of South Dakota and Nebraska before coming to Heartland CASA. 

Erin Howe

  Volunteer Coordinator

Erin has been with CASA since the Fall of 2018. Erin was born in Billings, Montana and raised in Hastings, Nebraska where she currently resides. Erin is a mother of 3 teenagers. Erin has worked in the non profit world for the last 11 years. Erin is excited to be a part of Heartland CASA and work towards the vision of no children being abused or neglected.
